Daily summaries

Daily Updates let you send a quick end-of-day summary home for each child. Parents can view the update in their parent portal and receive a push notification if they've enabled notifications.

Creating a daily update

1. Find the child you'd like to update.
2. Select the child's overall mood.
3. Check any highlights that apply, such as meals, naps, outdoor play, or learning activities.
4. Add a short personal note about their day.
5. Click Send home to publish the update.

What parents see

Each child receives one daily update for the selected day. Parents can read it anytime in their portal and, if enabled, receive a push notification when it's sent.

Best practices

Keep updates short, personal, and positive. A sentence or two about what the child enjoyed, learned, or accomplished during the day goes a long way toward helping families feel connected.

Daily updates vs. messages

Use Daily Updates for your regular end-of-day recap. For conversations, questions, reminders, or information that requires a response, use Messages instead.
