Custom fields
Wylari includes all of the common information most daycares need, but every provider has something unique they like to track. Custom fields let you add your own information to Children, Families, or Guardians. Once added, the field automatically appears anywhere that record is edited or viewed.
Creating a custom field
- Select which Section the field belongs to:
- Children – information for each child.
- Families – information shared by the household.
- Guardians – information about each parent or guardian.
- Enter a clear Label, such as Bus Route, Doctor Name, or Allergy Severity.
- Choose the Type of information you want to store.
- Click Add.
Field types
- Text – short notes or names.
- Number – numeric values only.
- Date – birthdays, appointments, expiration dates, and similar dates.
- Checkbox – Yes/No information.
- Dropdown – choose from a predefined list of options.
Managing fields
Existing fields are grouped by section below the editor. Use Edit to change a field's name, type, or options, or Delete to remove it. Deleting a custom field also removes the information stored in that field, so only delete fields you no longer need.
Good examples include bus routes, school districts, physician names, transportation permissions, classroom assignments, or any other information that's unique to your daycare.
