Documents & signatures

Share files with families — your handbook, policies, consent forms — and choose where each one appears, whether families must acknowledge or sign it, and whether an unsigned document should block check-in.

Add a document
  1. Give it a clear title (and an optional description).
  2. Choose a file — PDF, image, Word, or text, up to 10 MB.
  3. Pick where to Show on: the check-in kiosk, the parent portal, or both.
  4. Choose the Acknowledgement level (below).
  5. Click Add document.
Where documents appear
  • Kiosk — shown during check-in after a guardian enters their PIN. Best for short notices.
  • Parent portal — a calmer place to read long or complex documents on their own device. Recommended for handbooks and detailed policies.
  • Both — appears in each place; an acknowledgement in one counts everywhere.
Acknowledgement levels
Not required
Families can read it; nothing to confirm.
Acknowledge
They tick a box confirming they've read it.
Read & sign
They confirm and draw a signature, which is stored as a record. Good for consent forms.

Expand Acknowledged by under a document to see who has completed it, where they did it (kiosk or portal), and to view any signature.

Block check-in until acknowledged

When acknowledgement is required, you can also tick Block check-in until acknowledged. A guardian then can't check a child in — at the kiosk or via remote check-in — until they complete the document. This is a gentle way to make sure an important form actually gets read. Check-out is never blocked, so a family is never stopped from taking their child home.

Editing

Use Edit to change the title, swap the file, or adjust where it shows and how it's acknowledged; Delete removes it for everyone. Past acknowledgements are kept.

Try it in your own daycare.
