Hours & closures

Configure your daycare's regular operating hours, automatic attendance settings, and scheduled closures. These settings are used throughout Wylari, including the calendar, attendance system, kiosk, parent portal, and reports.

Remember to click Save setup at the bottom of the page to save your changes.
Operating hours

Set your normal opening and closing time for each day of the week. For days your daycare is not open, simply check Closed. Closed days automatically appear on your calendar and are reflected throughout Wylari.

Automatic check-out

Automatic check-out helps prevent children from accidentally remaining checked in overnight. When enabled, Wylari automatically checks out any child still signed in at the selected time. Automatic check-outs are clearly marked in attendance records so they can be distinguished from normal check-outs.

Choose a time that is later than your normal closing time to give families plenty of time to check out before the automatic process runs.

Holidays & closures

Add a closure by picking a From date and a To date, giving it a short label (e.g. “Christmas break”), and clicking Add. For a single-day closure, set From and To to the same date. Each entry covers the whole range, so a week-long vacation is one entry — you no longer add each day by hand. Click the × on any entry to remove it. Remember to Save setup when you’re done.

Closures automatically appear on your daycare calendar, are shown to families in the parent portal, and can be displayed as reminders on the parent kiosk before the closure occurs. A multi-day closure shows as a single line everywhere — for example, “Jul 4–13” — rather than one row per day.

Kiosk reminders

Remind on the kiosk controls how many days before a scheduled closure families begin seeing a reminder during check-in and check-out. Set the value to 0 to disable closure reminders.

Try it in your own daycare.
