Parent portal

Configure what families can do and see in the Wylari parent portal, including messaging, notifications, remote check-in, daily schedules, and shared information.

Changes don't take effect until you click Save setup at the bottom of the page.

Messaging & notifications

Choose how families communicate with you and which notifications everyone receives.

Let parents reply in Messages enables normal two-way conversations. Turn it off if you want messages to be announcements only.
Play a sound when a new message arrives plays a notification on this device. Use Test to preview the sound and adjust the volume.
Check-in / check-out notifications controls whether the primary guardian or all guardians receive push notifications when a child is signed in or out.
Your notifications enables browser notifications on this device when new messages arrive. Enable it on each computer or tablet where you want alerts.

Parents must also allow notifications on their own devices before they will receive them.

What parents can see

Choose which optional areas are visible in the parent portal:

Payment receipts & year-end statements
Progress journal, including shared observations, milestones, photos, and published reports

Remote check-in

Remote check-in allows parents to sign children in and out from their phone only while they are physically at your daycare. Wylari verifies their GPS location before allowing attendance changes.

Set your daycare's location, choose how close parents must be using the Allowed radius, and optionally adjust the maximum GPS accuracy that's accepted. Leave this feature off if you prefer families to use only your kiosk.

Daily schedule

Create an optional Today's Activity schedule that parents can view in the app. Each item can include an emoji, activity name, and optional time. Leave the list empty if you don't want to display a daily schedule.

Messages & information

These sections appear in the parent portal:

Current announcement — a message shown to every family.
Emergency information — important contact or emergency instructions.
Parent handbook — paste your handbook or provide a link to it.
